It appears that John Mayer is having some trouble with his woman. They loved each other at one point and it is now coming to an end. He portrays her as not really caring that he is so broken and that he wants her to feel some kind of emotion towards this. He thinks she's just trying to hurt him because she doesn't understand or feel the same way he is.
I think the title, slow dancing in a burning room, means that their relationship is slowly ending, like a building on fire, and in a slow dance song, you don't really want it to end if you love the person you're dancing with.
John asks, "don't you think we oughta know by know?" Which I take it as they've had similar problems in the past and that they should've know that something would've happened again.

Husband
The most important quality that I am looking for in my future husband is Christianity. If he is truly a Christian, all the other desireable qualities will come with that, such as leadership, trustworthy, and honest.
I want to be able to rely on him through anything and know that he will be there. I want him to be loving and caring. Preferably taller than myself, but if he's the one, I'll let it slide.

Gendercide
Gendercide is gender-selective mass killing. This process is happening often in India and China and many third-world countries today. It is targeting the female gender because the people in these countries don't believe that girls aren't worth as much as the males.
In India, it is not considered a sin, but a wise choice. If they did not get an abortion, they practically tortured their baby. Some were fed unhulled rice, which punctured their windpipes or were forced to swallow poisonous powdered fertilizer. Others were smothered by a wet towel, strangled, or allowed to starve to death.
These people don't know what God has done for them or how everyone is made in His image. We need to help them realize this and pray for them. An unborn baby is the same as a born baby.
